Investigamos el grado en que el p\u00e1jaro mosc\u00f3n europeo joven es sexualmente dim\u00f3rfico. Para ello, a partir del estudio en mano de 4,372 machos y 3,714 hembras) de <em>Remiz pendulinus<\/em> capturados y anillados en diversas zonas de Catalu\u00f1a (SE Espa\u00f1a), de una edad inferior al a\u00f1o, se obtuvieron el peso corporal, la longitud alar y la longitud de la 3\u00aa primaria. El estudio estad\u00edstico reflej\u00f3 que la distribuci\u00f3n entre sexos fue estad\u00edsticamente diferente para la longitud alar y para la longitud de la 3\u00aa primaria, a favor de los machos, pero no se reflejaron diferencias estad\u00edsticamente significativas entre sexos para el peso. De ello se infiere que en esta especie existir\u00eda una selecci\u00f3n a favor del mayor tama\u00f1o de los machos ya en su etapa juvenil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Palabras clave:<\/strong> dimorfismo sexual, morfometr\u00eda, peso corporal, remizidae<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sexual selection in juvenile vertebrates is a rare and a less-studied phenomenon. In this research, we investigate the extent to which the young European penduline tit (<em>Remiz pendulinus<\/em>) is sexually dimorphic. To this goal, a sample of 4,372 males and 3,714 females was captured and ringed in various areas of Catalonia (SE Spain), all under one year of age. For each animal, there were measured body weight, wing length, and length of the 3rd primary feather. Statistical results reflected that the distribution between sexes is statistically different for wing length and the length of the 3rd primary feather, in favour of males. No statistically significant differences between sexes were found for weight.
